force fed lollipop

Hey guys. I have been off of my VZW Note 3 for about two months. I have been using my BlackBerry z10. I am truly a Blackberry fan. I always have been since 2004. But during BBs dark days of the Storm I have been an android guy. Now that I have a BB Passport I have switched one of my lines back to my Note. As most people know that the Z10 has very poor battery life. But I still love the phone. Well since I have been using my Z10, I have seen my wife's Note get updated to Lollipop. It looks like a child's phone. It looks stupid and juvenile. I want to keep KitKat. Is there a way I can stop this update? Can I stop the install? I tried to stop the download but that was futile. I really didn't want lollipop.
