Why my S5 doesn't have Play:
I rooted my S5 and several weeks later Google Play wouldn't download any apps hence I uninstalled Play (before realizing the difficulty that lie ahead) to try to refresh Play.
Status of my S5 Now:
I did both a factory refresh and a Cache partition wipe, neither allowed a refresh of Play and Play Services fails on every boot. Google Drive will not sync files and I've lost my passphrase for Google Sync.
QUESTIONS:
1. Can't I download the appropriate Android OS onto my computer, transfer it to a mSD card, then move the mSD card to my S5 and install it (the Android OS) via the Android OS containing mSD card and the Android boot menu? If so, could someone help me find where to download Android OS versions?
2. I am tech savy but less so with Android than PC's, is there a better way to regain Google Play or/and totally refresh my Android OS to its factory (literally) state?
