Issue with mobile Chrome bookmarks.

So for some reason I decided to disable sync for Chrome on my Galaxy S4, I wanted to keep my browsing separate from Chrome on my PC.

I have saved a lot of bookmarks to Chrome on the Galaxy S4 but it appears you cannot export them to a backup file. If I reset the device or wanted to move to a new device how can backup and restore the bookmarks? Are they synced to google account/server? Would I need to reactivate sync? Ultimately I don't want them syncing with Chrome on my PC...
