    I know it's a minor thing at just 13.5MB, but can someone explain to me why I must have Google Korean Input and why it is not uninstallable?

    Because Koreans buy a lot of smartphones and Google doesn't want to release different software for every country.

    I'm not convinced. Germans buy a lot of smartphones. So do Italians, the French, Dutch, Spaniards, Greeks, etc, etc.

    There has got to be another reason...

    Initially, I thought it's because LG made the phone but that doesn't explain Hindi, Pinyin, or Japanese keyboards.
