Why is the Gallery not availabe and phone super slow?? After Lollypop update. Nexus 5

The white background and Notifications flashing are acceptable. However, taking off the Gallery and forcing users to upload photos using Photos is not cool. Also, my device is now super slow. Whats going on!! device: Nexus 5.

Have you tried rebooting the phone yet, and if no change, some people also factory reset.

Photos doesn't force the user to upload their photos. It gives them an option to do that.
