I have come to love this thing on my Nexus 5. I know it isn't for everybody but I really like the new way of handling tabs at the system level. However I was confused to see that the same thing isn't possible on a Nexus 9. Why is that? I go to settings in chrome and "merge tabs" isn't there. It merges them by default and I cannot push the tabs to appear separately in the recents screen. This goes against the preview videos I've seen about Nexus 9.

Has anyone found a way to show tabs separately in the recents screen on a tablet? Could you let me know how to do it?
