Was this a OTA update or did you flash it. A couple of things that you can do to fix this are, 1) clear the cache partition, this will not cause data loss, 2) do a factory reset, this however will cause you to loose your apps and data.

"Upgrade" to KitKat. Or wait for Android Marshmallow.
