I'm fairly new to cell phones so I read up on installing a new OS on my Nexus 5. I got Android 5, did a factory restore as advised, and I've had no problems. I like Android 5. I also liked Android 4.4.4. I wonder what Android 5.5.5 will be like?

i'm kinda a noob to smartphones. i just bought an HTC Desire 816, and absolutely love it. However, I keep getting notifications, at least once a day, that the system has an available upgrade to the newest OS: Lollipop. I am happy with KitKat, and from everything I've read want to stick with it. I keep disabling the notification and force stopping it, but it continually resets. I there some way I can permanently stop the requests to upgrade?

Had the same problem on my Samsung Note Pro 12.2 and I could not disable the repeated notifications. In fact it downloaded Lollipop and asked me to install which I did not for several weeks. After continued requests to install each day, I finally broke down and installed it. Mistake. Lollipop broke my bluetooth keyboard. Been waiting for a fix for a month now and still no joy.

Maybe there are some security fixes (who knows) with Lollipop but I could not see any real improvements over KitKat and it disabled my keyboard.

You know how in Windows 10, you have the option to rollback to your old OS if you don't like the new one? Why can't Google also give the option to rollback to previous version officially if you don't like the new version?

ALONG with many other issues. As for the looks, I only like the fact that it's now white in the settings! Can I go back to kitkat?

Its the most annoying OS ever created. Does run faster tho. But yeah the giant banners when I get chat messages make me want to smash my phone to tiny pieces. STOP TRY TO BE LIKE APPLE! If I wanted IOS I'd by F&% iphone!

It just occurred to me that all hope is lost now. All new android phones will be like this. May as well just buy an iphone and get it over with. Since android is going to be like destroy everything that I like android for.

Is there a new phone os that going to come out soon that is not going to be annoying and just let me do what I am trying to do on it without interrupting me all the time? Whats windows phone like?
