From the AC article about 5.1, it says the memory leak issue is fixed in this build. I have a Nexus 7 2013 edition, just upgrade to 5.1, and I do not see such fix.

I am still experiencing memory leak issue such that every 2 days, I have to reset my tab, otherwise, the tab does not have enough RAM to run any app (my BBM is resetting itself, reboot of the home screen icons, etc).

Can anyone confirm if the memory leak issue is fixed? Or is this problem specific to my hardware?

    Thanks.

Have you tried clearing the system cache? I did this after watching a video on YouTube. Seems to sort out my Nexus 7 2013 tablet problems. Hope this helps. Good luck 😉✌

From Google itself, memory leak issue is not resolved in 5.1. They've fixed it for the next patch after that.
