G900T "Software up to date" at 5.0.0.0.?

I'm reading that T-Mobile folks got at least 5.0.1 recently but it's been since Feb and I've only got 5.0, with the OTA option telling me my software is up to date. What to do? Is this what version I'm supposed to have? Somehow I don't think so! Battery life is killing me! Would it be worth it to try Kies or do I need to use Odin or -?
