So android users don't have a choice to turn specific app location tracking off like ios?

That's pretty lame. 90% of the apps that track me don't need to be. So I'd have to turn location services off on my phone. But then I'd be hindering my experience in some apps that are useful that use it.

Very surprised android, the do what you will os, doesn't give you the ability to turn specific app settings off.

What a sh!tty experience. Just a waste of battery and not to mention the privacy.

Hope I'm wrong and there is way.

I'm not rooting to do what should be a basic setting. As rooting it self isn't secure.

Greenify might work for you. Not 100% sure because I don't use it. Now root not needed for auto-hibernation mode.

all ur worries is about permission management.
how about if you know the purpose of each permission of each app. and once you feel the permission is abused or misused, then u can safely turn off the permission, just like LOCATION.
i've developed an app to solve the permission problem, you can have a try if interested in it.
    any feedback is welcomed~
