Why can't I receive the Lollipop update on my AT&T unlocked LG G3?

why cant i receive lollipop update on my at&t unlocked lg g3

i just bought an at&t unlocked lg g3 from ebay, i currently live in india . the lg g3 had android4.4.2 kitkat but when i check for software updates it says that my software is u to date !! can any one help me please i want lollipop badly

The phone will be getting updates from AT&T. Unfortunately you're not able to receive anything from AT&T. You'll have to find update files on XDA Forums in the LG G3 AT&T forum and apply them yourself (it's not difficult).

You can update your device by yourself if you want. I haven't done it, but I'm pretty sure all you need is your phone and a computer
