I am using Gigabyte GSmart Classic Dual Sim with 5.1 Lollipop.

What happened is that today I tried to expand Wireless&Networks settings sub menu, and after clicking 'More' process crashed. I tried to clear app data, but it also makes the app to crash. All other options from that menu (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SIM cards and Data usage) work fine, but clicking 'more' to expand the menu makes the process crash. Attempting to open VPN menu from Search also makes process crash. There are 4 Setting options (VPN being one of them) that I cannot access because process crashes every time.

Edit: it is More option and everything under it that is bugged.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this persist after a reboot? How about Safe Mode? On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

Hi Guys, recently i ran into exactly same issue on same phone. I think i found the reason and a solution. After 5 -6 factory restore i realized that updated PlayStore service ruin the stable run. My suggestions to do:
    - go to Settings ->Safety backup and restore , do the factory restore. This will install the original components of Android that worked well.
    - during the setup do not connect to your Google account, add it later (this prevents you from restoring bad app settings automatically)
    - when all finished open the Play Store -> My applications ->Setting. (This will ask your google account/password of course)
Disable the automatic update of applications. Close Play Store or add any other app you still need.
    - check under Settings -> Accounts if "Google" is added. (now you connected your account to phone as should be)
    - now you can check under "Safety Backup and Restore" if backup/ options are activated by your preference
(if you had Connections saved to phone before, then it will be sync back to phone again )
one notice: i removed the scrap Battery doctor right after the factory restore, saves memory
one more notice: do not ever remove Clean Master, then you can start from right the beginning. Somehow it is needed for Android, if it was removed then the "com.android.settings has stopped" immediately returned. Now i'm going happy beside 370Mb free RAM.
    Good luck
