problem with pictures in albums

Hey,

I bought a SD card for Note4 Edge that runs Android 5.
As I knew, I had to manually move the photos and videos from the internal memory to the SD card.
I did that with the native app, just moved the photos and movies to the SD Card.
When I've opened the camera's app, it told me that since lollipop, android will automatically manage the storage and it will move the photos to the SD card.
The albums that I've created, are no longer there. Shouldn't they be empty?
I've moved the photos and videos back to the internal memory and waited to 'automagically' manage them and move to SD card.
But I still don't have the albums. There are thousands of photos... how will I remake those albums again? I have to go through each photo to make it back?
But where did it go in the first place?
Please help!

Firstly, i suggest you have a good file manager installed. I suggest ES Explorer. Go in images and it will show you the images listed on your device with its exact details. Then download MyRoll its a photoengine app that automatically manages your gallery and does the manual work for you.
