Emails disappear when I move them from Trash to Inbox

I have a Samsung Tab 4 tablet running the imbedded email. Android version 5.0.02:
When I move an email from Trash to Inbox, the email disappears. It is no longer in Trash and not in the Inbox. I don't know if this is a recent problem, as I don't recall ever moving emails around before.

Welcome back! Which email provider are you using? It sounds like you're using the POP3 server for that provider--I would suggest changing to the IMAP server, if possible. That works much better, since it simply syncs the phone with the mail server, and the emails stay on the server (not on the phone). With POP3, the phone physically downloads the emails, and may often delete the email from the server, which can result in some problems. Read about the difference here: IMAP vs POP3
