If your phone is taking upside down photos and video your accelerometer and gyroscope sensors have stopped working (crashed). Without them working your camera doesn't know what position to be in. There is a temp fix: removing the battery from your phone. Restarting your phone doesn't work. You have to remove the battery!
There is a permanent fix by installing a 3rd party app, but I can't remember which. NOT THE GPS FIX. When I remember which I'll post it here.
Yesterday, I was going thru my Application Manager and removing apps I no longer used, games and such, and mistakenly uninstalled the app. Later, my photos were upside down and I slapped myself for the blunder.

Lol. If "your accelerometer and gyroscope sensors have stopped working (crashed)", there is a good chance that was caused by one of the games that you had installed.

Always, always!, check the user feedback (sort by most recent) for any app and especially any game that you are thinking of installing.
