Change photo dates to date taken

I backed up my photos from KitKat, wiped, upgraded to Lollipop, restored photos and now they all have the date I copied them back to my phone. I tried several utilities, copying them over WiFi file transfer utilities, etc, and they always had the current days date instead of date taken. Now of course in camera roll / gallery they're all jacked up and I can't find what I want without scrolling forever.

Is there a utility to modify photos to show modified date is date taken, not date created on the device? I'm sure this is all because of emulated storage on my Droid Turbo. Not rooted.
