How can I access galaxy note 3 Field Test Mode

Hello all. I'm new here. I own (proudly) a Samsung Galaxy Note 3(SM-N900) and i had never had any issues with it through the years then suddenly there came to be a circle with a slash where the network signal indicator used to be. I also checked the imei number and found it to be null. I have researched and found that MTK Engineering mode "could" help and i had installed it but keep getting the message "could not find Engineering Mode App". Basically it doesn't work. My N900 is on 5.0 android os (lollipop). My challenge is what app can help in rewriting my IMEI number on this 5.0 platform. Took it to the tech shop and they charged almost the same amount as the phone so...Look forward to your replies
