I have a Nextbook Premium 8 (NX008HD8G) with a 32GB SD card running JellyBean 4.1.1 and would like to update to Lollipop 5.1 or 6.0. I would like to do this over a USB connection to my MAC or PC as the tablet does not provide a provision to do this under the "about this tablet". is there a .img file or zip file available to download to the SD card for installation and if so where can I find it. Also, how would you suggest to load said file.

Welcome to Android Central! Unless there's an official Lollipop firmware released by Nextbook, you'd have to root the device and look for a custom ROM designed specifically for that device. The forums at XDA-Developers.com are a good resource for that kind of thing.
