The Developer Previews are, of course, out for Android M, and it lists the preview for the Nexus 5 as GSM/LTE. Would that also work for a CDMA phone, or are Sprint Nexus 5's out of luck? (I'm assuming the latter is the case, but thought I'd ask)

    Thanks in advance!

The nexus 5 is not carrier specific, there is no sprint specific hardware. You should be good to go.

You shouldn't have any issues using the M preview on a Sprint connected Nexus 5. However, since it's still a preview build, I would caution using it as a daily driver since issues are likely to arise and there's no easy way to restore Lollipop while on the go.
