There have been a number of similar posts about wi-fi issues on the Nexus 5 running Marshmallow. When you say you did a data reset, do you mean a factory reset?

That sounds bad. Not sure why this is happening to some people--I haven't encountered it on my N5 on Marshmallow. You could try contacting Google directly: https://support.google.com/nexus/?hl=en#topic=3415518. Click on the Contact Us button at the upper right.

You won't like it. I ended up sending it in to Lg even though my warrantee is up. Long story short they replaced my old phone with a new refurbished one and it cost me 43 bucks and about 4 weeks of not having my phone. The new phone is really nice.

I can't BELIEVE that I just read this entire thread WITHOUT throwing up
IMHO, you peeps should maybe think OUTSIDE THE SQUARE and wonder WHY everyone's phones have stopped AUTOMATICALLY connecting to WiFi after an update to a new version of Android O/S ... geez, maybe it's just that Google has disabled this feature, or maybe they're tightening up on security issues from previous versions by preventing rogue apps from doing stuff BEHIND YOUR BACK ...
It doesn't F**KIN' work any more for precisely THAT reason ... Google has stopped NON-SYSTEM apps from automatically enabling WiFi!
