my nexus 6p wouldn't let me select a home launcher, so i rebooted into safe mode, and then i rebooted it back to regular. now most of my contacts, calendar info, and ringtones are gone. what do i do? It is really making me mad. Now i have to all of my work over again to get all my info back. is there any way to get everything back? thanks!

    1. If your contacts were all entered as Google contacts, which they should have been, you don't have to enter them again. Putting the phone back on the same Google (not Gmail - there are two places to add an account) account and syncing contacts will give you back your contacts.

    2. You should have your ringtones, pictures, music - everything you don't want to lose, backed up to at least a cloud account. (I use my desktop and 2 cloud accounts - the odds of my losing all of them, including the phone, at the same time are greater than astronomical [there are only 10^21 stars in the visible universe].)

    3. If the phone won't allow you to choose a launcher, there may be something corrupted in the ROM. I'd bring it into the carrier first and have them reflash it (after you've backed up everything left) to make sure this doesn't happen again.
