Hi, I've installed both Power Amp and Ringtone Maker in order to set my music as a ringtone on my new nexus 6p. The problem I have is that neither seem to be able to find the downloaded music in Google Play music. I've only used a Samsung android device before and without any 6p manual availability, I'm totally baffled by this problem? Help!

Unfortunately Google Music caches music in a protected format, so other apps can't use the files. You'll have to sideload the files from your computer or download them to your phone some other way.

    Exactly.

    Here's the workaround:

If you have access to a PC, go to https://play.google.com/music/listen#/now and click on one of your albums. Look at the upper-right corner of the play window and click the three-dot menu icon, then select the Download album option. Repeat for all your purchased music.

Now use whatever tools you like to copy the downloaded music from your PC to your phone's Music folder and, if necessary, tell your favorite music player (I prefer PowerAmp) to Rescan all folders in order to locate the new tracks.
