My old phone, I'd just hold down the home button. That doesn't seem to work on this nexus 6 running marshmallow. How do I get to it? Thanks!

Ah, ok. Getting to view RAM is settings > memory, however it doesn't have a kill button because doing so is pretty bad for the device. Swiping away an app from the task switcher will close it from active memory if you want to, but Android will close apps as necessary on its own in order to maximize resource management.

Okay thanks! I'm so used to my old froyo device where I had to constantly kill apps and clear the ram. Guess I don't need to on this new fancy pants phone.

At pretty much ended with ICS. On my MotoDroid, a talks kicker was necessary, but not anymore since my Nexus 5
