    Hi,

I have a HTC One M8 and the new Android 6.0 update was released for it a few days ago. I thought it would make my phone better (as most people think) but realised that I hate it on extreme levels.

I hate the new emojis released for Android 6.0.

Because of this, I want to downgrade from 6.0 Marshmallow or change the emojis.
Is there any way to do this?

    Thanks.

Installing a new keyboard app, like SwiftKey for example, will provide you with custom emojis.

Hi! I tried this. The SwiftKey keyboard did not work but I downloaded an emoji keyboard app and that changed the emojis but only on the keyboard. The emojis are still the same on the system.

You will need to see if htc has released the lollipop recovery for the one m8 and flash that. That will put it back to stock, you can't downgrade.

You can see if it's here:

Android 6.0 benefits are not really worth it over some stable and reliable 5.1.1 installation, also the user base is so small that apps won't be optimized for Marshmallow anytime soon, KitKat and Jelly Bean still dominate the market and Lollipop is slowly gaining ground, devs optimize their apps for the largest user base.
