Ever since my Sprint HTC One M8 HK was upgraded to Marshmallow, the screen takes about 7 seconds to brighten after being off for a period of time.

I've checked all settings I could think of, but haven't found anything to adjust.

    Any ideas, thoughts?

    Thanks,
    David

You didn't add a screen protector around the same time, did you?

Disable Adaptive brightness(Automatic Brightness) in Settings or in your notification drawer.
