Google Now and viewing Google Now Cards

When going to Google Now and viewing Google Now Cards, when I tap on a news alert Now Card it use to take me to Chrome and open the new tab page. If now open up in Google Now, not in the Chrome App. How do I get these cards to open in Chrome like they use to, before what I guess was due to a Google Now App update.

When the article opens up tap the menu in the top right corner and select to open in Chrome.
You have to do that for every article you open.

I just discovered a permanent solution. Open Google Now > Settings > Accounts and privacy and turn off the option to open the web pages in the app.
