Not sure if there is any work around here, but I will toss the question out. I am a lover of folders for my apps, utilizing 3 pages. I was disgusted after the marshmallow update came through as all the folder shapes went from square to rounded, and the colors went to this pastel color. With these changes and some of the app icons changing, now the phone looks like a kids phone. Is there any way to change this? I know they "generously" give us 5 pastel colors to use, but what about a full pallette and is there anyway to change the folder shapes back?

This and the battery drain is making me quite unhappy.

Try a launcher. I use Nova Launcher Prime. So many customizations and options. In fact it's on sale right now. Look in the Google Play Store. You can also search for icon sets to download. Some are free and some you have to purchase.
