    Nexus 6 running MOB30I (May).

I want to sideload the entire image via OTA. Do I need to take a stepped approach loading MOB30M (June) before loading July's MOB30O? I'm thinking the latest should include everything that was in June's update since it's the entire image.

    Thanks!

Sideload via OTA? I don't think that makes total sense. When you sideload, you basically sideload software via a PC, OTA means receiving the update over-the-air directly on your phone and is generally sent by the carrier. And no, I don't believe you need to take a stepped approach in loading one by one that doesn't make sense.

I meant update using the OTA vs Factory image. Poor choice of phrasing.

I'm well versed in the process. I've done it many times, just haven't skipped a month before.

I'm not sure if you can skip a month or not to be honest.

If you have the time it definitely won't hurt to do June first and then July.

OTA zip files are meant to go from one specific version to the next.

Actually, these are different. These aren't the old OTA that is pushed from the carriers. They're the Nexus images for the entire OS that they only made available a few months ago after people started bricking their handsets on the N dev preview.

You can revert from N to previous versions with these images. My understanding is the only difference between these and factory images is you can load them without unlocking the bootloader.

We all know security updates are small - these aren't. MOB30I and MOB30O both weigh in at 1.06 GB each...

I think I answered my own question...

Do I need to sideload each OTA image or just latest one?-ota-jpeg.jpg
