Bluetooth won't recognize device

Hi

I just bought a Cubot smartphone. It’s a lesser known and inexpensive phone from China. It is 3G, Android 6.0 and has Bluetooth 4.0. My wireless speaker is a Sony SRSX11 with Bluetooth 3.0. I cannot connect my phone to the speaker. I’d be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

Is the speaker in pair more?

Thanks TwitchyPuppy. Fortunately I was able to fix it by simply downloading an app designed to fix bluetooth connection problems.
