I bought a new Android phone; a Cubot Rainbow 3G Android 6.0. At first when I connected it to my PC with a USB the computer would not recognize the phone. I resolved this by installing a driver but a day later the PC now recognizes the phone in Windows but I cannot transfer files to the phone (and the phone charges). When I drag files to the phone I get a - Cannot copy item - message and another window appears – Analysing Files – but it goes on for a few minutes and nothing happens and it vanishes.

Notably when I click on my phone name in Windows nothing opens; the PC appears to recognize the phone but none of its content; it says – This folder is empty.

    Thanks for your time

First thing to check is that after connecting to the computer, you need to unlock the security screen and then allow the USB connection to the computer.
