Unable To Change Lock Screen Wallpaper, Please Help!

Hello! I have a new Huawei Ascend XT with Android Marshmallow installed. It seems, however, that I do not have the option to change my lock screen unless I make it the same as my home screen. Is there any fix to this?

I believe it's a Marshmallow thing that you can't have a different wallpaper for your lock screen. Your best bet is to install a lock screen app if you really require a different wallpaper (I use Next).

The ability to change the background on the lock screen seems to be a setting that the carriers enable or disable.
If your carrier took away the option, you will need to use a third-party app to set it.

you have to change it via the "Themes" app that is part of EMUI (emotion UI) . the Themes app is in your app drawer and, although I can't upload a video of step by step navigation to that specific setting, I recommend fiddling with the app until you find what you need. it's not very straight forward.
