My huawei p8 lite isn't detecting my sim card

It was working properly but when i picked the mobile there was no signal and there was "emergency calls only" written on the top. When i pulled it out and pluged it again the mobile couldn't detect it at all and now i have a sign tells me to insert a sim card. I received a new update couple of days ago and i think that's why.

Welcome to Android Central! When you say it was working properly, do you mean that you were able to make calls before, and now you can't? Have you already spoken to your carrier? Maybe you need a replacement SIM.
