I have a LG G4, and I accidentally deleted a few photos from my phone's SD card a couple days ago. I popped the micro SD card into my computer, and I tried using Recuva...it found them and said they were in "excellent" condition, undamaged and not overwritten (which I would expect), but when I try to view them, Windows says they are unreadable. I tried this on another computer with the same results.

I had good luck with Recuva in the past, though that was from a standard SD card from mi canon digital camera...is there another file recovery program you guys have had luck with? Does Android do something to photo files that causes recovered ones to be corrupted?

How about PhotoRec, as described in Rukbat's guide? http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...ted-files.html

Thanks! For some reason I thought that was a program that required a rooted phone. I will definitely try it .
