My phone is a 2016 Galaxy A3 with android 6.0.1.
Today, I changed my phone's security settings by adding a pattern to unlock it. However, I changed my mind about this pretty quickly and changed the settings back to swipe to unlock. Once I had switched back, the home, recent apps and back button stopped working. I reset my phone and after a little while the home button is working again, but the recent apps and back buttons still do not work or light up.
Is this because I changed my lock screen settings? If so, what do I need to change in my phone's settings to restore function to these buttons? Is there a setting I need to fix that was affected by the lock screen pattern?
Or, is this a completely unrelated issue? Either way, a fix would be greatly appreciated. A hard reset is my last resort but I'd really rather not have to.
Thanks in advance.
