What do you mean by disabling app drawer? The Nexus launcher has a redesigned up arrow in place of the traditional App drawer. More icons in the dock bar which is a really nice feature.
Can you post a screenshot? I don't see any changes on my 6P outside of the notification toggles.
how do I disable the app drawer on the 5x?

Surely a screen shot of the Nexus launcher with the redesigned interface.
I hope that helps a little bit.

I just wanted that manual exposure camera. I use the Google camera app so it is what it is.
At least the camera is way more stable in Nougat than the last few major releases...

I'm currently on the beta programme, is the update any different? If it's not any different I won't remove the beta version.

Just stay in the beta program and they'll keep pushing new builds in the next few months. Was an article recently covering a Google blog post outlining the plan.

Google had already said there wouldn't be much changes between the DP5 and the final version of Nougat. That will be for the maintenance release that will come out when the new Nexus phones are released. I also expect a "major" camera update at that time.

There should be an option by why anyone would want the homescreen to auto rotate on a phone is beyond me. Apps (like YouTube) can auto rotate by themselves.
Landscape on the phone helps when you mount the phone in landscape orientation in your car...

This is true. The camera does work very quickly nonetheless.

I've played with a few that give you a .dng file and I settled on Manual Camera. I like it but when the phone is saving a .png+.jpeg, 25Mb, it takes a few seconds. If I get anxious and click a few times it finishes download, shoots again, and so forth. I suspect the number of Nexus owners who want RAW files is a small niche and it isn't a high priority for Google. I think the total number of cameras capable of produce a RAW file is still pretty small.

Actually, you can just use the quick setting tile to trigger the autorotation or force portrait. The contents of the homescreen will auto-rotate as well if you select the option. Or you can go to Display in the Settings menu and select it as well.

Well you could turn auto rotate on when in the car but having it on all the time sucks.

Like I said zooming out the screen in dpi settings the developer options is really cool though. More space for icons and the apps and keyboard are also reformated to fit to the screen now.

I'm 75-years old and my eyes aren't what they used to be. I still drive without glass and can't tell a cow from a fat person. Since I don't want to hit either one, it's okay, though. I like being able to have larger fonts and larger icons so I have a shot, in good light, of reading something without my reading glasses.

Options are always good to have.

My Nexus 6 doesn't seem to have the option of using landscape on the home screen. Works fine for maps, etc...

I know a friend that has it. Very disappointed that the Night Mode feature is officially gone. It could have been a very useful feature, in my opinion. Overall, I think this is a great update though. Ready to get it on my own Android device now.
