With improved doze and data saver I am wondering if Nougat controls the amount of battery that the Facebook app uses better than Marshmallow?

Any Nougat users able to comment?

From my experience when I was running the dev/beta builds, no. It was awful, got to one stage with the app that it was using a high percentage of battery. Dreadful. I binned the app to get my battery back to normal and haven't been back since.

I've slowly stopped using Facebook as it's the same drivel day in day out. What an awful product it has become.

Thanks, I use it less and less but with my friends and family on there I do need to dip in and out. Currently using Folio pro

No, because the issue doesn't lie with Android. Facebook has a terribly coded app and until they fix it, battery life will always suffer if it's installed.
