Is it possible to increase Notification splash viewing time? I don't know the terms but when the phone is laying down and comes on by itself to show you new Notifications.

    Not in the OS, no.

I've never used it, but perhaps this? https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...llgrad.glimpse

Or, I am currently testing this https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...***.ambiturner It does not let you set the time-out value, however it does have a "Wave To Wake" function which lets you easily recall current notifications to the screen.

Very interesting info, I really appreciate your reply, I've read the synopsis on the app and when I get home will look over the articles it provides and if ask looks good, test it out, thanks!!

Have you actually gotten Wave to Wake to work on the N6? Mine just ignores me. Course, I have a screen protector on the phone. I suppose that might be interfering even though there's a generous cut-out for the proximity sensor.

OP, this is a very good question. Sometimes I'd like my phone to stay "awake" for a little while longer so I can see who messaged me, etc.

I am using it on a Pixel XL. Wave To Wake works; note that the default "number of waves" is 2, so you have to do a double wave to wake it up - or change the default.
