My Win 10 computer cannot find any picture files in my Samsung Galaxy S7 after upgrade to Android Nougat. Also Win 10 has recently been updated to V1607, so I don't know which update caused the problem. Question also published in the Microsoft Forum.
Any idea anyone about what can be done?

What do you mean by "win10 cannot find any picture files"?
If you use Windows File Explorer to navigate to your phones /DCIM folder, does it show you the images created by your camera?
Using your favorite file browser app on the phone, can you verify what File Explorer is and is not showing you?

I have found the solution. It was simple, but not easy to know. After the Android update you must unlock the phone before you try to access the phone picture files via USB. That was not necessary before.

Yes, unlock the phone at the security screen, then accept the connection from the computer via the notification bar.
This should not have changed since 6.0.
