Alarm exception slider grayed out in Do Not Disturb

Since the latest update to Android 7.0, the custom exception for Alarms in Do Not Disturb is forced off and grayed out on my Galaxy Note 5. I need custom exceptions to allow calls through in case of emergency engineering support at work and also to wake me in the morning. The call exceptions still works, allowing favorites and multiple calls through, but three times I have almost slept through the morning. Is there some other place that might need changed to allow the alarm exception again?
