I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 7.0.0. It is the SM-G930F.

My phone seems to display +44 instead of 0 when I receive an incoming call from within the UK when I am in the UK. It should therefore be displayed as 0 and not +44 right?

When I insert my SIM card on another phone also running Android 7.0.0, the number is displayed correctly, and also when I put another SIM card from a different network in my S7. I am on Vodafone and have spoken to them at length about this issue and although they got me to wipe my phone (still have not set it up yet since) I am still getting the same problem. I have also spoken to Samsung as well, and went to a store and they don't know what is causing it, so I am thinking it must be something to do with Android causing it. Does anyone know what could be causing it?

Your phone is displaying the numbers in E.194 format. This is the global standard. It has no bearing on operation. I would encourage you to store ALL your contact numbers in this format. That way they will work no matter where you are in the world.

There is no impact to any toll charges for incoming or outgoing.

Thank you for clarifying what it is BaritoneGuy.

Is there some way that I can disable it or stop it from displaying incoming calls like that?

Today, a friend called me and his number displayed correctly with a 0, but the second time he called me it was back to +44 as it has been for a while. Because of the way I am, I like it all to be "as it should be" and not as it is.

Can I prevent my phone from doing this some how?
