Hi.. Do we know if the Galaxy Note 4 will ever get Android 7? The phone has been out for 3 years now, so I'm wondering if Android 6 is "it". I can't find any documentation anywhere that states the phone will get 7. Thanks!

    Nope. Marshmallow really is “it”.

    Officially, at least.

Thank you. That is what I was afraid of.. Why? Because my company will stop supporting Android 6 phones starting next March.

Is there an "unofficial" way to get it?

Phones get new software for only 2 years, should still get security updates.

You could probably root it and flash newer software, if not looks like you need a new phone by March.

Maybe someone made a custom rom, looking like Marshmallow, on XDA Forums. But at that point, it’s technical and risky.

Thanks to all.. I don't think I'm going to mess with any unsupported flash/rom just to get Android 7. I think it is new phone time.
