WiFi - 4G

I noticed that when I got home today and connected to the Wi-Fi on my Note 8, the 4G symbol was also lit with the Wi-Fi bars. Any ideas on if there's something wrong? I've attached a screenshot.

Usually happens when you're getting a multimedia text or your WiFi signal isn't too strong to make the phone 'think' it's got a good connection. However, sometimes this also seems to get 'stuck'. Turning Airplane mode on/off should take care of it. (And make sure that the option to boost downloads isn't turned on, or that might also trigger both data streams to be active at the same time when downloading 'big' files).

Just remember, unless you're on WiFi - Calling, MMS will always have to use mobile data, so you can't escape that bit.

Did you try the Airplane mode thing? Are you getting any MMS messages? If you turn Airplane mode On and then turn on your WiFi, do you have connectivity?

I'm getting messages and I did turn airplane mode on then off

If you're getting MMS, the 4G icon will always be on while transmitting (unless you're on WiFi Calling).
