Since I've upgraded to nougat, my phone seems to be running hotter in my pocket and using more power

Ever since I upgraded from marshmallow to nougat on my MXPE, the phone seems to be running hotter in my pocket and draining the battery quicker. I did a clean install with a cache partition wipe, and the phone has been working perfectly, with no issues and no excessive battery draining at all except in my pocket when I'm using Bluetooth.

I can use Bluetooth outside my pocket with no overheating and no battery drain..... the only issue is in my pocket. Very frustrating considering in every other way nougat improved the phone.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears ;-)

This didn't happen before the update in the same situation? Clothing or your body can actually block Bluetooth reception, so that might contribute to increased CPU load as the phone tries to maintain the connection.
