Screen timeout issue

I have a Samsung tab 2 model sm-t813, why can I not change the screen timeout. I have gone into settings, display and changed it but after I back out, screen timesout after 5 seconds no matter what I place it on.

Does it sow 5 seconds when you go back into it? If so, that's going to have to be fixed by an update.

If not, how long do you have the lock screen set for? It may not be timing out, it may be locking.

No, when I go back in it shows what I left it at 10 minutes. I did go in and change the lock screen to 30 minutes....but it still timesout at about 5 seconds.....
