Bluetooth sound music/ android auto

Got a new car with android auto. I was running android O. Bluetooth connected, received messages/ calls/ but the music wouldn't work. it would display and play but no sound would come out. Tried another phone with 7.1.2 ( latest release of public OS) and it worked perfectly fine. Just wanted to give everyone a heads, just in case you run into this situation.

I had this same issue. I had to go into the specific Bluetooth device's settings and uncheck the High Quality AAC setting. Started working after then and is likely because that relates to something Sony only at this point.
