    Hey all,

In this article, Phil's Nexus One shows the battery display in the top right with the numbers in a percentage as well as the bar.

Is this an app or a hack? I'd really like to have this.

its a hack. Typical way is to flash it like an add-on to a ROM. They are specific for phone and firmware version.

Do we have to hack to get that or can we flash it onto our phones?

none of the stuff in the marketplace will replace your current battery meter with the one with %. that stuff is custom and built into the THEME of the ROM usually. Just like on a BB, you can change the aestethics of it all with diffferent parts of a theme.
