Thanks Roy this works a treat on the mobile side of things. I never realized that the old app defaulted me to high quality when in WiFi mode!

    Nice, thanks a lot!

Edited to say that I can't get any vids to play full screen. They're defaulting to hq but no full-screen. I'm on an Incredible, btw.

Oh I did notice now that the widget isn't working time to investigate.

After removing the Widget twice and readding it, it now works. Seems to be a cache thing keeping it not working until the cache is cleared out. So either after a phone reboot, or adding/removing it several times it starts working!

Never played with the stock app version, but this one also pulls up your subscription infos etc. I'm digging this version!

I've noticed if you sign it..the widget sits at "loading".. if you sign out, widget shows all the most viewed.. have seen this on both incredible and moto Droid.

I'm on a droid, for me this doesn't default to High Quality, but it gives me a button on the bottom right to go HQ, it saves me a few clicks, but default HQ would be nice.

EDIT: nevermind I changed the settings. doh

    Thanks alot!

I'm not sure, I'm just glad it actually pulls my account information and shows my subscriptions now! Only thing I've noticed is that when logged into youtube the Widget doesn't update with the newest video ect. It just says "Loading..." indefinably. So I just placed a shortcut to the youtube app instead.

Eh. I guess I'll have to see it to see the benefits. When I want HQ video I'll simply hit menu>more>play hq video for now.

works on Droid, Nexus and Incredible
That's the Droid Eris, I presume (given the "known associates"), and not the Moto Droid -- but for sake of dispelling the mists of uncertainty, it might be helpful to specify with the second name when referring to either of them.

There is no such thing as a "Droid Eris" it's just the HTC Eris. Eris wasn't considered a mainline android phone so it doesn't carry the "Droid" name. So I assume he means the Moto Droid.

What are you talking about? Every single Android device Verizon sells is branded "Droid" for marketing reasons. They can market 1 name and sell all their Android devices under the advertising.

    They currently have the,

    Motorola Droid
    HTC Droid Eris
    HTC Droid Incredible

trust me. It's called the HTC Droid Eris. ALL future Android phones sold through Verizon will have the "Droid" branding. If Verizon ever gets the EVO, it'll be called the HTC Droid Evo (or whatever name they change it to)

I stand corrected. When I bought the phone it was marketed as the HTC Eris, not the Droid Eris I guess their marketing has changed. But back on the original topic, I assume he means the moto Droid, at least that's the basic assumption on how people refer to it on forums etc. When talking about the Eris they call it the Eris, Incredible, Droid etc.
