The number one flaw with ChatON... it requires you give your phone# to contacts.
I dunno how many people use ChatON, but the number one drawback (and it's a major drawback) is that you have to give up your Phone Number.
I have tons of contacts both professionally and personally, and many of them do not have, nor will ever have, my personal phone number. Why does ChatON require this? Why does ChatON deviate from the standard of any reliable messaging service and require you to give up personal information you really don't wish to give out?
