I've had the Droid for four days now and the thing I miss the most from my iPhone is not having something like iTunes -- some kind of a "home base" program where I can see about upgrades, synch my music, and keep track of my podcasts.

Is there something like this for Droid already or is there something coming? I'd really like a nicer phone/PC interface than that crappy HTC Synch.

If you're a Windows/PC user, you can use Windows Media Player to manage music and photos on your Droid.

Ahhh, thank you! I kind of refused to use WMP before. This will be new territory for me.

I have a Mac, and have been using Doubletwist ever since I activated my Eris. It works really well and auto-formats all the media files I copy to the device. I believe they have a beta version for Windows, too.

Okay, got it synching to my phone but not sure how to get it to respect my WMP playlists on the phone. Is there a WMP for Droid as well so they stay in lockstep?
